If you done everything that we mentioned above then you are ready to follow step-by-step guide on how to root Hisense Sero 7 Pro and install CWM Recovery v6.0.4.4 (touch) on it.

How To Root Hisense Sero 7 Pro

This stage of this guide not only root Hisense Sero 7 Pro but also install CWM recovery touch. However, since we going to install latest CWM Recovery v6.0.4.4 in later stage, we just omitting it.

  1. If you have blue stacks installed please stop the service (services.msc) or uninstall and reboot.
  2. Download the Zip file from GoogleDrive.
  3. Unrar the files attached to this post somewhere (DO NOT RUN THE FILES WITHIN THE ARCHIVE THEY NEED TO BE EXTRACTED!)
  4. Make sure you have ADB Debugging checked. To enable go to Settings > About > Click 8 times on Build number and back out to Settings it will be under the Developer menu.
  5. Run XESeroRootUS.exe (US VERSION) or XESeroRootUK.exe (UK VERSION)
  6. Follow onscreen instructions.
  7. Look at your tablet while it installs superuser apk it may ask for verification by Google. Just accept.
  8. If it hangs at FASTBOOT please check to see if fastboot drivers are installed correctly!

Your device is rooted. Now install CWM Recovery v6.0.4.4 on Hisense Sero 7 Pro by following below guide.

  1. Download CWM Recovery v6.0.4.4 and extract it. Then copy the .img file to the directory where fastboot.exe located (most likely, android-sdk-windows>>platform-tools).
  2. Put your device in FASTBOOT mode first. To do so, remove all USB Cables, turn off the device and then hold Volume up and Power same time, you will see FASTBOOT on the tablet screen. Let go of power once you see FASTBOOT!
  3. Now plug Hisense Sero 7 Pro to computer using USB cable.
  4. Now go to platform-tools folder (assuming fastboot.exe is there)  and then open command prompt from that location. To do so, press and hold the Shift button on your keyboard and right-click on any empty area on the screen, then choose Open command window here option.
  5. Now perform following command at given sequence:
    1. fastboot  flash recovery recovery.img
    2. fastboot reboot
